Carolina Christian School has recently formed a six-member Odyssey of the Mind Science Club team, led by their coach and science teacher Mrs. Karen Baker and her assistant Autumn Freeman. The members of the team have selected an Odyssey of the Mind problem called “superstition” and are presently working on it, getting ready for regional competition in March at TC Robertson High School.

Our science students are also presently planning projects to show at our school Science Fair, which will be held on December 15. Students are constructing devices to be used in their experiments, such as motorized cars, fire extinguishers, etc. Some students are conducting experiments with plants, while others are investigating health topics. Winners from the school Science Fair will compete in the ACSI Science Fair, which also will be held at Carolina Christian School on January 23, 2009. Family and friends are invited to attend these exciting events.
